Where did December go?

Well, another new year already!!!!!  I can't believe how quickly the last year went, but especially how fast December flew by.  I had a really busy month, working, decorating, traveling, baking, cooking and hosting a small gathering of friends.  It's always my favorite time of year, so I'm a little sad it's over and that it went by so very quickly.
In the beginning of the month, Shawn and I went to New York for 4 days.  (You can see some of the photos on my Facebook page).  We saw the Rockettes perform at Radio City Music Hall, attended a Mariah Carey Christmas concert, spent some time at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, we saw "Hand to God" on Broadway and did lots and lots of walking, shopping and eating!!!!  I never get tired of being there.  It's always so full of energy and inspiration.
And the weather could not have been more perfect while we were there!!!

After we got back, it was full on holiday prep.  I hosted a small party on the 19th, so there was lots of cooking for that.  It was a great evening....

Then before I knew it, it was Christmas Eve....I made a Buche de Noel for our Christmas dessert.  

And just like that.  There is where December went!
